Homeowners - a property and liability
policy that protects against loss to an owner occupied
dwelling.
Farmowners - a property and liability
policy that protects against loss to a farm exposure.
Auto - policy which protects the
owner of an automobile against bodily injury and
property damage liability arising from an at fault
accident. Can also include physical damage coverage
for an owned auto.
Watercraft -
policy which protects the owner of a boat or
personal watercraft (jetski)
against bodily injury and property damage liability
arising from an at fault accident. Can also
include physical damage coverage for an owned watercraft.
Umbrella/excess personal Liability -
A policy basically affording high limit coverage
in excess of the limits of the primary policies
as well as additional liability coverages. The
term "umbrella" is derived from the fact it provides
coverage over the liability policy that an insured
already has. (i.e. home, auto, & watercraft)
Commercial
- a property and liability policy that protects
against loss to business. Coverage can include commercial
property, Commercial general Liability, Inland marine,
Commercial Crime, and Boiler Machinery Insurance.
Contractors
- a special property and liability policy that protects
against loss to contractors and tradesmen. Special
areas of coverage for contractors and bid bonds
and performance bonds.
Life Insurance -
A payment of a stated amount of monetary benefit
upon the death of an insured.
Health Insurance -
A policy against loss by sickness or bodily injury.
